Grab your dad, or the nearest dad-like figure, and head to Padre Figlio, meaning appropriately “father, son.” This Italian take on a standard steakhouse is run by Mario and Antonia Cerra and kicks it up a notch with the meat selection. They’ve got Canadian wild boar in a limoncello reduction, ostrich filet mignon and New Zealand venison. Not to worry if that’s a little too exotic for dad, the sides are some of the old favorites and include appropriately garlicky broccoli rabe and baked potatoes.
The interior’s somewhere that dad would appreciate too, with manly-man red velvet walls and cast iron chandeliers, but it’s great for a date also–you can enjoy the view of the glass-enclosed Etruscan garden.
